Vespers (Evening Prayer) via Zoom

Gather. Reflect. Rest in God.

Join us on Monday evenings at 6:30 PM Eastern Time for a peaceful time of prayer with AFIRE Ministries. Vespers is a sacred pause — a time to reconnect with God at the start of a new week.

Whether you’ve never prayed Vespers before or are returning to a familiar tradition, all are welcome. No experience is needed — just a desire to rest in God’s presence.

What is Vespers?

Vespers is part of the Church’s ancient Liturgy of the Hours — daily prayers offered around the world to sanctify the day. Traditionally prayed in the evening, Vespers includes psalms, Scripture, quiet reflection, and praise.

At AFIRE, we offer a simple, peaceful version of Vespers — accessible to everyone — to help you draw closer to God in the quiet of the evening.

What to Expect

This prayerful online gathering includes:

  • Scripture, sacred music, and visual reflection

  • A time of silent prayer and stillness

  • An invitation to share prayer intentions privately in the chat

  • All prayers and readings displayed on-screen so you can follow along easily

To protect the sacredness of the space, all video and audio are turned off for participants. There are no breakout rooms, no pressure to speak or be seen — just a shared time of prayer and peace.
